Case sensitive bug in Heli-X ?

Post by ZeXx86 »

Hello
Probably I found small bug in Heli-X Linux version regarding to model's filename.
When I try to load model TRex600FW in game (Helicopter selection) I get error that game can't find .obj file TRex600FW.obj, I check that there is model filename TREX600FW.obj in resources/models/helicopter/TRex600FW, so I rename this file and all goes correct.
But now when I flying in multiplayer session and someone choose this model, I get error from game that TREX600FW.obj not exist, because other side got actually original name with upper case. I think this is only Linux, probably Mac OS X version problem, because they are both case sensitive in filesystem stuff. I think whole problem could be fixed by rewriting some model settings or filename ..
I am not sure, but problem could occur in more models
Thank you for your understanding

Hello,

you are right, the file names and heli names in HELI-X are case sensitive. As long as you are on windows machines it is not of importance, but e.g. in a mulitplayer situation with windwos and linux machines. This might cause problems if there are inconsitencies.
